Following are the minutes of Philbrick-Clements Post 65 membership meeting held on July 2, 2014. There were 9 members present. Minutes of June 4, were read and motion to accept was passed and carried.



Boy Scouts: No Report

SAL: No Report

House Committee: No Report

Service Officer: No Report. However burial ceremony will be held at the veteran’s cemetery on July 11 for Jim Heitz. The post color guard will be I attendance.

Executive Board: No meeting

Bar Committee: The bar continues to thrive.

Breakfast Committee: For the last 4 breakfasts we had totals of 249, 255, 287, and 243.

Turkey Raffle: Tickets will be on sale this Sunday at the breakfast.



Commander thanked all of the member who participated in the Flag Day Ceremony.

Discussed the prospect of a 2nd chicken BBQ on Old Home Day. Motion made by Pat and 2nd by Chip to table the matter.

Pat is still looking for a list of the scholarship recipients. Ed will get that info.

The question of a second monthly meeting was discussed. Although the membership voted for the change we did not have a quorum for the meeting. It was decided that the Commander would call a special meeting of the members if needed.

Since we have lost our Financial Officer if was decided the Vice Commander Paul Hague would move into that position. Hal Maloof will move into the position of Vice Commander. This will change the members of the Executive Board as well.



Burial Ceremony will be held at 1 P.M. at the Veteran’s Cemetery on July 11th. Post Color Guard will attend.

We have received several donations in Jim's name to the post. Pat will keep a list and give it to Pam, Jim's wife so that she may send thank you notes.

Food has been ordered for the Chicken BBQ being held on 12 July. We have a crew selected to do the deed.
